What a year it’s been!  Following on from our first 6 months reflection, we look back on the activities and successes of the last 6 months of 2024.

Our Brittany Ferries lunch aboard the Pont-Aven in collaboration with Cork Chamber was a fantastic way to kick off la rentrΓ©e, celebrating Franco-Irish connections.

We then hosted Philippe Meunier from la Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and his delegation for a special networking evening at the Alliance Française Dublin. We also had our second FICC Business Lunch of the year, welcoming Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital Transformation and Company Regulation, Dara Calleary as our guest speaker, as well as H.E. Ambassador Céline Place, to her first FICC event.

In collaboration with NetworkIrlande France, one of the most spectacular events of the year, the Ireland France Business Awards 2024, took place aboard the Yachts de Paris on the River Seine. With the support of Official Sponsor Kingspan Group, among others, we celebrated outstanding achievements, awarding Smurfit Westrock, AXA, and Access Earth.

Our "Le NETwork" group events have continued to thrive, bringing the Franco-Irish business community together at venues such as Sogeti, KPMG, and AXA to foster new connections and meaningful exchanges. We celebrated the IFI French Film Festival with DS Automobiles by inviting members to a special viewing of the French film Souleymane’s Story. We also welcomed our new V.I.E.'s, Lucas Despin and Benjamin Fol, to the FICC office. Our Fireside Chat webinars have proved to be a hugely popular watch, with Isabelle Porte of CACEIS Bank and Chris Smyth of Perennial Freight, as the most recent guests to speak with FICC President, Aine Murray.

And finally, our FICC Christmas Lunch at the Westbury Hotel Dublin was a truly joyful way to wrap up the year. Special guest speaker, Paris-based author and The Irish Times contributor Lara Marlowe, captivated the room with stories of her extraordinary life between France and Ireland. This wonderful event also marked a moment of transition as Aine Murray handed over the Presidential chains to Chris Smyth, our new President for the 2025-2026 term.

A huge thank you to our members for your incredible support throughout the whole of 2024.  Your participation and enthusiasm are what drive the Chamber forward, helping us foster stronger Franco-Irish connections and create unforgettable moments together.

Here’s to an even more exciting 2025!
