EDITORIAL FICC

Dear FICC Members,

I hope you are all enjoying the longer days!

June is shaping up to be a particularly busy month for the Chamber, especially in terms of events. We are excited to offer several in-person opportunities to connect and engage!

First up is the final LE Network session before the summer break, hosted by FICC Corporate Member Expleo on June 10th. The following day, June 11th, we’ll gather at Cpl for an insightful session on The Next Generation of Leadership, held in collaboration with Future Work World.

Looking to the European calendar, we’re pleased to invite you to the second edition of the EU Social Mixer on June 25th. Organised in partnership with numerous European Chambers in Dublin, this promises to be a fantastic networking opportunity—so be sure to register early!

On a celebratory note, we are thrilled to welcome Irish Ferries Freight as a new FICC Patron. As one of Ireland’s leading freight operators, they specialise in both driver-accompanied and unaccompanied trailer services, as well as trade vehicle transport across our key routes.

We’re also delighted to welcome Hannon PharmaLink as new Corporate Members. We look forward to a dynamic year ahead with their support!

The “Call for Applications” for the Ireland France Business Awards 2025, an annual collaboration between FICC and NetworkIrlande, will open very soon with a deadline for receipt of applications by Friday 12th September.  This is a great opportunity to showcase your business achievements to the Franco-Irish business community and we hope many of you will apply this year.

The awards gala dinner will take place in Dublin on Thursday 13th November at the Shelbourne so “save-the-date” for now if you plan to travel for this celebration of outstanding business performance and bilateral trade between Ireland and France.

There is lots more to read here, so bonne lecture et à très bientôt!

Director / Directrice Générale

THIS MONTH'S HIGHLIGHT: FICC BUSINESS LUNCH WITH JIM POWER

We were delighted to host our Business Lunch at the beautiful Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel - a key gathering for our Franco-Irish business community.

With over 100 participants in attendance, this event was a wonderful opportunity to connect, exchange and strengthen business ties.

? We were honoured to welcome Jim Power leading Economist, Podcaster & Blogger as our keynote speaker. His insightful talk on the economic outlook and key market trends between France and Ireland sparked meaningful conversations and reflections among our members.

We also welcomed Barry Ward TD, recently appointed as the Covenor of the France-Ireland Parliamentary Friendship Group, who provided some insight into the Irish Government’s activities that further develop Franco-Irish relations.

A special thank you to Chris Smyth President of the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce and CEO of our official partner Perennial Freight, for his leadership and to Mary Ryan, our recently appointed Vice-President.

?A huge thank you to all our members and guests for your continued support and enthusiasm!

We look forward to welcoming you at our next events and to further strengthening the Franco-Irish business network.
