EDITORIAL FICC

Dear FICC Members,

It is definitely DÉJÀ VU – les Verts contre Les Bleus – a championship decider and a repeat of the 2023 match which Ireland won and went on to claim the Grand Slam.

This year our two countries do battle once more. A win for France will certainly give them the Championship, whereas a win for Ireland will almost certainly guarantee a Grand Slam and a historic third 6 Nations Championship in a row.

What a fantastic rematch it promises to be and may the best team win!

Allez les Verts! Allez les Bleus !

And now read on to hear more about the many events we have planned this month and to find out more about our three new members:  Ipsos, Menard Ireland and N2Growth.

Finally, I would like to personally wish all the wonderful women active in the Franco-Irish business community a Happy International Women’s Day, Une Bonne Journée Internationale des Droits des Femmes !

Cliona McGowan

Director / Directrice Générale

LOOKING BACK TO: SEMINAR - DIASPORA FOR UNTAPPED GROWTH WITH IRELAND JAPAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

We had the pleasure of co-hosting an exclusive seminar with the IJCC - Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce on the theme “Diaspora : An Untapped Potential for Business Growth”.

A special thank you to Barry Dempsey, CEO of Chartered Accountants Ireland, and his team for their warm hospitality at the Chartered Accountants House.

We were honoured to welcome H.E. Mme Céline Place Ambassador of France to Ireland, alongside H.E. Mr. Junji Shimada, on his first official engagement as Ambassador of Japan to Ireland.

Our esteemed speakers, Kingsley Aikins, CEO of The Diaspora Institute and former CEO of The Ireland Funds, and John Neary, former Ambassador to Japan and author of Public Diplomacy in Ireland and Japan, shared invaluable insights on the role of the diaspora in business development.

It was a pleasure to see our members, as well as members of the Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce.
Thank you all for attending, and we look forward to seeing you at future events!
