EDITORIAL FICC

Dear FICC Members,

Bonne rentrée!

I hope everyone is feeling refreshed and energised after the summer break, ready for an exciting and busy season ahead for the Franco-Irish business community.

First up is our 2nd FICC business lunch of the year that takes place 17th October at The Marker Hotel, Dublin 2, kindly sponsored by Forvis Mazars (official partner).

We are honoured to welcome Tánaiste Michaél Martin TD as our guest speaker to this event which is a hugely important milestone in our Business Calendar.  It affords an opportunity for our members from large Patrons and Corporate companies to smaller SME's and start-ups to gather together, exchange views, news and to develop new business relationships.

Another highly anticipated event for the chamber and our partner, NetworkIrlande, is the “Ireland France Business Awards 2024”.  The awards gala will be hosted in Paris on 14th November aboard le Paquebot, the largest in the Yachts de Paris fleet.  Applications for these prestigious awards are now open and the deadline to apply is this Friday 13th September.  Do not miss out on this opportunity to highlight your company’s business success!

Finally, I would like to extend my gratitude to Ambassador Vincent Guérend for his remarkable four years of service as Ambassador of France to Ireland.  He has returned to France to take up the position of “Directeur de l’Union européene” and we wish him all the very best with this new and challenging role.  We look forward very soon to formally welcoming and introducing you to the new in-coming Ambassador.

Bonne lecture et à bientôt !

LA RENTRÉE DE "LE NETWORK"

We kicked off La Rentrée with a “café croissant” at the Le NETwork working group, hosted very kindly by Sogeti Ireland.  We were thrilled to welcome a dynamic mix of Franco-Irish business owners and representatives.

Catalyst and OBI’s Chief Strategy Officer, Sandra Fives and Head of SaaS Operations, Jack Dineen, shared crucial insights on the importance of ESG management and their state of the art OBI software platform. They emphasised how these tools are key to implementing sustainable and responsible business practices within the real estate and property sector and beyond.

Céline Amiaux, founder of Seedlings of Change, highlighted their mission to encourage businesses to rethink their sustainable strategies by taking part in their transformative training and workshops focused on climate change.

Thank you to Sogeti Ireland CEO James Govan for his warm welcome and valuable technological expertise on this topic.

Finally, thank you to our members for joining us. We look forward to seeing you all again at the next Le NETwork working group in October!
