EDITORIAL FICC

Dear FICC Members,

Welcome to the April 2026 edition of the FICC Newsletter.

It is a pleasure to see the continued momentum across our business community this spring. We warmly welcome our many new members: Aerogen, ICON plc, Rendel Ingerop, Vision Ireland, Magnostics and Mark O’Connor Sailing.  We are also pleased to announce our first new Patron of 2026. Drivalia, part of the Crédit Agricole Group, is a key player in sustainable mobility solutions, supporting businesses and individuals with flexible and forward-looking transport options across Europe. Bienvenue Drivalia !

Looking ahead, we are particularly pleased to invite you to the FICC Business Lunch on 28th April, with keynote speaker, Professor Alan Barrett, who will share insights on Ireland’s economic outlook - a valuable opportunity to step back, reflect, and exchange with fellow members. We also hope to see many of you at LE Network on 14th April, continuing our monthly conversations in a more informal setting.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen strong engagement across our events and initiatives, including our recent Café-croissant with France Alumni and our session on building careers across France and Ireland. These moments of exchange are at the heart of what makes the Chamber such a valuable network.

We are also delighted to announce the launch of our Infrastructure Working Group, led by Della O’Donoghue, CEO, M-CO. This WG brings together members and stakeholders to contribute to Ireland’s evolving infrastructure landscape and to further strengthen Franco-Irish cooperation in this key area.

Finally, I would like to thank all our members who took the time to complete the recent FICC Members Business Sentiment Survey. This information allows us to understand the perspectives of Franco-Irish business leaders against a complex economic and political backdrop. The results create credibility and impact to our voice and have led to several interviews for Chris Smyth, President FICC. These publications, including an interview with Joe Lynam of Newstalk, are available on the FICC website news section.

Kind regards / bien cordialement,

Cliona McGowan
Director / Directrice Générale
