Exceptional event

On 14 October 2026, the Dublin European Law Institute at Dublin City University will host a high-level event on EU Inc.: Driving the EU Competitiveness Agenda at The Helix, DCU from 9:30am to 12pm as an official associated event of Ireland’s 2026 Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event will feature keynote speeches by Commissioner Michael McGrath, EU Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection and Minister Peter Burke TD, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment as well as a high level policy roundtable with stakeholders from government, academia and practitioners. Speakers will examine the EU Inc. and 28th regime proposals in the broader framework of European company law and the EU competitiveness agenda. The audience will have a chance to ask the panel questions.
