After an exclusive networking reception, with drinks and canapés, at 17h30, join us for a cinematic night sponsored by DS Automobiles and learn about Souleymane's Story.

The IFI serves as Ireland’s non-profit national cultural institution for film. They are dedicated to exhibiting the finest Irish, independent, and international film; preserving the nation’s moving image collection dating from 1897 to the present day; and educating young people across the country through film and media literacy programmes. Following the event, you will receive an information pack with details of corporate opportunities at the IFI and methods to support their charitable activities

IFI FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL: SOULEYMANE’S STORY

The precarious life of an undocumented migrant is vividly brought to life in Boris Lojkine’s clear-eyed, compassionate and quietly devastating third film. Souleymane (Souleymane Sangaré), a bike courier navigating deliveries through the frenetic Paris traffic, is two days away from the interview that will determine whether his asylum application will be approved. Tutored by a fellow Guinean, Souleymane anxiously rehearses the spiel he’s been given to relate to the interviewer, while trying to figure out how to find the money to pay for the necessary documents that go with the interview.
