Diversity and Inclusion : Best (and worst) practice from across Europe

Hayley Barnard is a specialist in Diversity and Inclusion and Unconscious Bias in the workplace. She is the Managing Partner and Lead Strategist at MIX Diversity Developers and is a board level advisor to many national and global organisations.

Hayley works to inspire and equip leaders to grow inclusive cultures that attract, support and retain a fully diverse workforce and customer base. She combines the latest research on inclusion of diversity with first-hand experience, helping a wide range of companies to establish what inclusion looks like for them, what their business case is and how to move the agenda forward.

Hayley was invited to provide a briefing at Leinster House on the lessons learnt  from the introduction of the Gender Pay Gap legislation in the UK in advance of the Gender Pay Gap Information Bill in Ireland.

One of the most innovative projects that Hayley has headed up is the LeasePlan Women’s Arctic Challenge in which she co-led a team of women on a traverse of Baffin Island at minus 40 degrees C. MIX worked with LeasePlan to develop this unique platform to communicate the gender balance issue and challenge unconscious bias within their company.

In October last year she successfully swam across the English Channel, taking 14 hours and 12 minutes to reach France.
