FICC Learning Expedition: Sorbonne Nouvelle Students Bring Ireland to Paris for International Week

The France Ireland Chamber of Commerce was delighted to contribute to the International Week organised by students from the Master 2 International Project Management at Sorbonne Nouvelle University.

While the group had initially planned a study trip to Ireland, the project unfortunately had to be cancelled. Demonstrating great initiative, the students developed an alternative by inviting key speakers they were due to meet to come to Paris, creating a rich and engaging programme of conferences and exchanges.

As part of this initiative, Estelle Maurin, Business Developer with the Chamber, had the pleasure of delivering a session, sharing her academic and professional background, as well as insights into the Franco-Irish economic relationship. Drawing on the latest Brèves Économiques from the Embassy of France in Ireland, the presentation also highlighted key trends shaping the Irish economy.

The session provided an overview of the CCI France International network, present in 98 countries, followed by an introduction to the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce, its members, core activities and services. A particular focus was placed on the Irish job market and the opportunities available to young professionals, prompting strong interest and questions from students, especially regarding the V.I.E programme operated by Business France.

This exchange was a great opportunity to connect with motivated students and to continue fostering links between academia and the Franco-Irish business community.
