Ireland France Business Awards 2021

IRELAND FRANCE BUSINESS AWARDS 2021 - Transitions Optical, ICON plc and Selio Medical win the 2021 Ireland France Business Awards

The Ireland France Business Awards ceremony took place during Thursday 25th November at the InterContinental Hotel, Ballsbridge. The awards, organised annually by NetworkIrlande and the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce (FICC), recognise excellence within the Franco-Irish business community and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the winning companies within their respective sectors and the development of trade and investment between Ireland and France.

The Irish government was represented by An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin T.D.  who addressed the 150+ French and Irish business leaders present. The trophies were then presented by An Taoiseach and Franck Riester (Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs) who also delivered an address. Margot Slattery, President of the FICC and Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at ISS A/S emceed the event.






The Best Irish Company in France was presented to ICON plc, a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation headquartered in Dublin. The award was presented to Nuala Murphy by An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin T.D and Minister Franck Riester. 



The Best French Company in Ireland Award was presented to Transitions Optical. Transitions are a pioneer of light management and a leader of photochromatic lenses globally. Employees located in Tuam and Dublin are committed to innovation, brander leadership and sustainablity. The award was presented to Brian O'Neill. 



The Award for the 'Rising Star' category was presented to Selio Medical. Selio Medical is an early-stage medical device company, based in Dublin, Ireland, developing a platform technology, The Selio Sealant System, to prevent a life-threatening complication associated with the diagnosis of lung cancer. Colm McGarvey accepted the award on behalf of Selio Medical.
