Replay: National Remote Work Strategy
The objective of Ireland’s National Remote Work Strategy is to ensure that remote working is a permanent feature in the Irish workplace in a way that maximises economic, social and environmental benefits.
While there are many benefits to remote working for employers, to include the potential for increased productivity, access to a broader talent pool, improved staff retention and cost-effectiveness, remote working also creates certain challenges.
We were joined by Aoife Bradley and Einde O’Donnell from the Employment Group at LK Shields for a discussion on the roll out of the National Remote Work Strategy and the implications for your business, with a particular focus on:
- The right to request remote and flexible working – opportunities and challenges
- The right to disconnect – practical tips on getting the balance right
- Legal considerations around remote working and how to avoid possible claims
