What is MentorsWork

MentorsWork is a new, free business mentoring support for businesses in any sector which will connect business owners and managers all around Ireland with experienced and skilled mentors to address their specific business issues on a one-to-one basis. This new virtual mentoring programme is designed as ‘bootcamp mentoring’ specifically to tackle ‘right now’ issues companies are facing, particularly as a result of Covid-19.

Who is behind this initiative?

This enterprise-driven initiative, which is being led by the SFA with support from Skillnet Ireland was launched on Thursday 8 April. It was designed, in consultation with Irish businesses, to meet the needs of SMEs at this challenging time.

Why is this programme good for me and my business?

Having a mentor can change the playing field for businesses. This initiative has engaged over 100 mentors with extensive experience in formulating action plans to guide and support SMEs through challenges such as business restructuring, restricted transactions, financial concerns, job losses, business re-adaptation and new guidelines on health and safety, among other things.

Who is it open to?

MentorsWork, the free mentoring initiative is designed for SME owner/managers and senior leadership teams across all industries in Ireland. Private sector businesses with less than 250 employees are eligible to participate in MentorsWork.

What areas of business will the programme deal with?

Among the key business topics companies can seek mentoring support for are strategy, operations, commercial and financial analysis, change management, people management, product review and business development.
