Vhi launches free eight-week digital lifestyle programme

Vhi Health Squad programme is to support people’s health and well-being particularly during Covid-19 pandemic

Vhi Healthcare has announced details of Vhi Health Squad, a new eight-week digital lifestyle programme that has been created to support people in looking after their health and well-being especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The programme takes a holistic approach to overall health and well-being and includes mindfulness, fitness, nutrition, sleep, environment, financial and parenting support.

Delivered by a panel of experts, those who register for the programme are to receive a weekly plan by email, providing links to video content relating to the areas of support they have registered for.

In addition to the weekly content, there is also an ‘Ask the Squad’ facility where customers can pose health questions to the health experts’ panel.

The content and advice were developed by a panel of experts made up of Vhi and other health and well-being coaches, as well as some independent experts.

The panel comprises qualified professionals and is to provide people support with sleep patterns, and to manage mental and emotional health, as well as guidance on good nutrition at this time.

There is also encouragement and targets to increase activity and fitness levels, parenting tips and general advice on finances and insight into best practices for money management support for financial well-being.

The programme is free to sign-up to and is available to Vhi customers and non-customers, to support the wider population in managing their health in a holistic way during these particularly challenging and unprecedented times.

Dr David Morris, Head of Wellness, Vhi said: “We know from talking to our customers that many people are experiencing new challenges resulting from the impact that Covid-19 has had on their daily lives.

“The reality is people want and need to plan for something so that they can manage emerging challenges while looking after their own and their families’ overall health and well-being.

“Through Vhi Health Squad, we want to provide access to experts that can help people at this time. Whether it’s help with sleeping or managing your finances we want to provide some support and comfort to help people manage their way through this period.”

The Vhi Health Squad Experts are Martina Breen and Micheli Romao, health coaches; Tom Coleman, Sleep Expert; Niall Ronan, Fitness Expert; Dr Olivia Murphy, Child Psychologist; Frank Conway, Finance Expert; and Louise Reynolds, Nutrition Expert.
